蔺高管，字云平，别号：西窗居士。1940年生；1960年美院附中毕业；1963年毕业于北京艺术学院美术系国画专业；师从高冠华、白雪石……在校期间就常常去故宫临摹、研究历代名画，力求能从全局上认识中国画。毕业后又师从王雪涛先生学习花鸟画多年，对王派小写意画法有一个全面的认识与理解。在个人的长期艺术实践中，潜心研究中国画的基础理论。

个人专著有：

1995年著《花鸟画章法入门》（此书1995年由人民美术出版社出版）

2012年著《西窗画要十说》（此书2012年由中国書畫出版社出版）。

2016年著《蔺高管流动水墨画选集（花鳥系列）》。（天津人民美朮出版社出版）

2017年著《蔺高管流动水墨画选集（黄山系列）》。（天津人民美朮出版社出版）

同时经过二十多年的摸索、试验、独创出一种“流动渲染”的渲染方法，这种方法改变了传统渲染方法的工艺流程。传统渲染方法——是先调和好水与墨，然后作画。而流动渲染——是让水与墨在运动中调和。

在流动渲染的基础上，蔺高管创新出一种新的画法——“流动水墨画”。“流动水墨画”有一个独特的唯一性：它既不能临摹也无法手工复制。“流动水墨画”为传统水墨画的发展注入了新的内容，在中国水墨画的创新道路中迈出了勇于尝试的一步。

Lin Gaoguan, styled Yunping, other name: West window scholar. Born in 1940; graduated from the High School of Fine Arts in 1960; graduated from Beijing University of Fine Arts Department in 1963; studied under Gao Guanhua, Bai Shishi... often went to the Forbidden City to copy and study famous paintings, and strive to understand Chinese painting from the overall situation. After graduation, I studied flower-and-bird painting under Mr.Wang Xuetao for many years and had a comprehensive understanding of Wang brushwork. In my long-term artistic practice, I have intensively studied the basic theory of Chinese painting. My personal monographs include:

In 1995, he wrote an Introduction to Flower and Bird Painting (this book was published by People's Fine Arts Publishing House in 1995)

In 2012, he wrote Ten Stories of West Window Painting (published by Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Publishing House in 2012).

In 2016, he wrote an Collection of Mobile ink Painting (Flower and Bird Series).(Published by Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House)

In 2017, he wrote an Collection of Mobile ink Painting (Huangshan Series).(Published by Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House)

At the same time, after more than 20 years of exploration, experiment, an original "flow rendering" rendering method, this method has changed the process of the traditional rendering method. The traditional rendering method —— is to blend water and ink, and then paint. And the flow rendering —— is to let the water and ink blend in motion.

On the basis of flow rendering, Lin executives innovated a new painting method —— "flow ink painting"."Mobile ink painting" has a unique uniqueness: it can neither be copied nor manually copied."Mobile ink painting" has injected new content into the development of traditional ink painting, and has taken a bold step in the innovative road of Chinese ink painting.
