中国几千年的文明史，书法占居了不可取代的重要位置。它是文化，是艺术，是不可丢弃的国宝。

随着中国科学技术的发展，越来越多文字信息的交流是靠工具传递，很多人只会谈话不会写字，加之中国现代化教学手段对汉文字书写的忽视，我感到了中国书法艺术的危机。中国书法何去何从，不能不使我们这些老的书法工作者，对书法艺术的传承和发展有些担心和忧虑。

在一些书画作品集中，我多次看过侯建和的书法作品。在他作品面前我总是多看上几眼，欣赏之余得到几分安慰和感慨。

侯建和不仅酷爱书法，生活沉溺在琴涛墨海之中不能自拔。由于他有着良好的书写素质和字外功夫，艺术的互为补偿，互为借用，互为促进，可谓落笔生花，墨趣横生。

所谓书法是书写的规律和法则，古代《四体书势》、《八绝》、《三十六法》、《六体书论》等都是法，这是古人对书法的理解和经验总结。只有法度与气韵兼备，才能使作品日臻完善法度就是指笔法、字法、章法和墨法。笔法指运笔的速度、力度及形态变化;字法是指各种字体笔画的特点和规律，墨法是作品干、湿、浓、淡、润等墨的变化;章法是指作品整体的布局，也可以说是正文、落款及印章的摆布，字与字之间、行与行之间的呼应以及线条表现力给人的直观感觉。侯建和就是遵循书法规律和法则的代表性人物。

侯建和的书法标新立异、匠心独具、多变灵活、浑厚有力，给我留下深刻印象。此乃书见其功，后生可畏。他的作品充分体现汉字本身美的素质，合乎平正、匀称、飞动、性灵等原则的要求，其作品有势、有气、有韵，灵动之中加之有节奏的变化，笔墨豪放，典雅飘逸。他的书法作品章法善于布置，多变灵活，疏密有致，顾盼生姿，洒脱流畅。书写中通过不同的线型交替变化和发展，增强了作品的妙趣和艺术感染力。书法作品柔中有刚，秀中见奇。可谓乃笔爽爽如有神助，给读者强烈的艺术感染力，已达到雅俗共赏的效果，显示出他本人的道德修养和艺术修养。

书法艺术首先要有的是文字本身以外的欣赏性、可读性。通俗的讲就是要可看、好看、看不够，给人们带来精神上的艺术享受，这才是书法艺术的魅力。启功先生生前曾评价他的作品“下笔干均力，落墨如有神。"虽是鼓励，实不为过。

书法继承难，创新更难，在创新之中形成自己的个性和风格难上加难。而书法只有创新才能发展也只有创新才是书法发展的目的。侯建和的书法作品借古人之本，又有自己的个性追求，学古而不泥古，他是一位难得的艺术人才。

他多次在国内外参加各种书法展览，都引起了极大的反响轰动，因而他的作品有了更多的欣赏人群。

任何事物都是仁者见仁，智者见智，对艺术的欣赏应有标准，但也不能强求绝对统一，刻求一致，仁者不能责之以不智，智者不应以责之以不仁，这才是君子之道。

书法艺术新生的人才是我国继承和发展书法事业的宝贵财富，我做为一个书法工作老者，有责任支持这些人、鼓励这些人、帮助这些人、保护这些人。

侯建和近来由人民美术出版社出版的《中国传统文化名家大典书画名人卷》，十分可观。这是他学艺多年的艺术结晶，值得书法工作者及书法爱好者学习和参考。对于他的书法我只是观有所得，独家之言，以求方家们的教正而已矣。

Hou Jianhe not only loved calligraphy, but also indulged in the sea of qin and ink. Because of his good writing quality and external skills, art compensates each other, borrow each other, promote each other, it can be said that writing born flowers, full of interest.

The so-called calligraphy is the law and law of writing, the ancient "Four-style Book", "Eight wonders", "36 Laws", "six-style Book" and so on are all methods, which is the ancients's understanding of calligraphy and experience summary. Only with both law and charm can the work become perfect method refers to the brushwork, calligraphy, chapter and ink method. His calligraphy works are good at layout, changeable and flexible, dense, looking posture, free and easy and smooth.
